Dr. Hambly is very proud of the highly professional and knowledgeable staff that form the friendly team at Ancaster Dental Care. Their passion for dentistry and compassion in helping our patients meet their treatment goals is clearly evident.
Oral Hygiene Education
Each staff member at Ancaster Dental Care is passionate about what they do and love to share this passion with others. This passion is carried out not only in the dental office but also outside of it.
Dr. Hambly and his staff would love to partner with you in spreading an awareness of the importance of maintaining proper oral hygiene. Oral hygiene education can be scheduled in many different settings including, but not limited to, elementary school classrooms and community support centres.
Of course, you are always welcome to schedule a visit with one of the hygienists for one-on-one special concerns or education!
Dr. Stephen Hambly
Dr. Hambly obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario). He was listed on the Dean’s Honour List.
At the University of Kentucky (Lexington, KY, USA), Dr. Hambly completed his dental studies with a Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree. Over the course of his dental training he ranked first in his class and received many distinguished awards and honours including:

for Excellence in Academic Excellence.
> International College of Dentists Awards for Professionalism
and Outstanding Achievement.
> American Academy of Oral Medicine Certificate of Merit
> Inducted in Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honours Society

> University of Kentucky Academic Excellence Scholarships
> University of Toronto - Certificate in Advanced Restorative
Esthetic Continuum
While at dental school, Dr. Hambly was involved in research studying the virus HSV-1 and it’s mechanism of reactivation. He also represented his school at the national level as a delegate to the national House of Delegates in the American Student Dental Association.
Dr. Hambly has also participated in several dental mission trips to Guatemala and Haiti. Dr. Hambly worked in Lexington, KY and Burlington, ON prior to opening Ancaster Dental Care.
Dr. Hambly completed further studies at the prestigious Dawson Academy and received the Concept of Complete Dentistry Award in 2015. (Learn more at www.findadawsondentist.com)
Dr. Bojana Ivanisevic
Dr. Bojana Ivanisevic obtained her Bachelor of Physical Education and Health from the University of Toronto where she was a teaching assistant in human anatomy and also received the R. Trait McKenzie Society Award - an academic honour society.
Dr. Bojana completed her dental training at University College Cork, Ireland where she won the Henry Schein Award for best overall student, the Quercus College Scholarship and the Edward Gurr Prize in Dental Anatomy and Histology.
Dr. Melissa Amburle
Dr. Melissa Amburle would like to welcome you and your family to a comfortable dental experience you can trust. Dr. Amburle is committed to enhancing your life, health, smile, and her gentle demeanor will keep your family smiling.
Dr. Amburle completed both an Undergraduate and Masters degree in Biochemistry at the University of Alberta. She completed her dental training at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She was awarded Boston University's General Dentistry Excellence in Implantology award, where she also had the opportunity to provide treatment with Boston Healthcare for the Homeless. Since graduation, she has obtained her Fellowship in Implantology with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
When not in the office, Dr. Amburle enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies include cooking, exercising, traveling, and watching great films.
